Overview

Occasionally you may encounter the "Bad Request - Header Field Too Long" error in your web browser. This is caused by a known issue with how some browsers interact with ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services). 

What can I do?

The quickest remedy is to delete all cookies for adfs.slac.stanford.edu in your browser's cache.
