Adobe Creative Cloud

Overview

Adobe’s suite for creating, editing, and managing PDF documents and digital media.

- Submit a ServiceNow request: SLAC Standard Software Request.
- Include: “Adobe Acrobat Creative Cloud,” your name, PC number, and PA (Project Activity) account number.

- After approval and processing, you will receive an email with installation instructions and/or a download link. Follow those instructions.
- Do not install using personal Adobe downloads or accounts unless explicitly instructed.

- Open Adobe Creative Cloud
- Click Sign In and enter your full @slac.stanford.edu email address.
- If prompted, choose Stanford School Account, then complete by entering the password you set for your Adobe ID. After sign-in, the license activates automatically.

Suite of 20+ creative apps (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Acrobat Pro, etc.)
Cloud storage, AI-powered tools (Adobe Firefly), templates, fonts, tutorials.
Collaboration, version control, and access to latest updates.

Graphic Design & Layout: Home to giants like Photoshop for photo editing and raster graphics, Illustrator for vector art and logos, and InDesign for creating layouts for magazines, books, and interactive documents.
Photography: A powerful workflow anchored by Lightroom for organizing and editing large photo libraries, complemented by Photoshop for deep, pixel-level retouching.
Video & Motion Graphics: The industry-leading duo of Premiere Pro for professional video editing and After Effects for motion graphics, visual effects, and animation.
Web & UX Design: Modern tools like Adobe XD for designing and prototyping user interfaces (UI) and user experiences (UX) for websites and mobile apps.

Account and approval:
- Full-service SLAC/Stanford identity and your full @slac.stanford.edu email address.
- Approved ServiceNow request with PC number and PA account number.
- Personal Adobe IDs are not permitted for SLAC business use.
System:
- Current versions of Windows or macOS; internet access required for sign-in and activation.

Licensing:
- Named-user licensing; sign-in required to activate.
- Typically allows installation on more than one device for the same user, with a limit on concurrent active sessions.

Can be used for SLAC Moderate data.
Adobe Sign is not a long-term document storage solution.
Signed documents must be downloaded and stored in an authorized storage location such as Google Drive, Microsoft One Drive, or a shared network drive, according to the data storage and retention policies.
Follow SLAC data classification and storage guidelines for sensitive information.
Do not store or share sensitive documents (including PHI or other restricted data) in external clouds unless explicitly approved by SLAC.
Some Document Cloud features may be disabled or restricted to meet SLAC policy.
Use Acrobat’s protection and redaction tools appropriately; verify document security settings before sharing.
