Much like the HCM system, the Financial Management System is highly customized and currently runs on the Peoplesoft platform installed in the SLAC data center. Oracle is no longer supporting the PeopleSoft platform causing downstream processing issues. SLAC needs to migrate to a modern Financial Management system by the end of the decade. Modernizing SLAC financial systems will consolidate multiple efforts including updating the SLAC chart of accounts and integrating with various external and internal systems.
