Building 50 is home to SLAC’s only operations data center. Due to damage sustained by weather and age, the building is in dire need of refurbishment to include resilient power and cooling to address the business continuity concerns. The need for this refurbishment has been highlighted over the last two years by the storm activity, power outages, and resulting damage to the building.
