New SLAC IT Website

SLAC IT is proud to announce the launch of its new website. The new site is crucial in helping SLAC IT to support the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory’s mission to expand its impact. You can view the new website at https://it.slac.stanford.edu/

Site Features
The new site consolidates several web properties into a single, streamlined source of information for all things SLAC IT. It also improves user experience and access by providing a quick, intuitive way to find the essential information SLAC employees, researchers, and visitors need to do their jobs. On the website, users will now find information about all of SLAC IT’s services, get quick access to support, order IT materials, and access a database of knowledge-base articles to aid with issue resolution. 

https://it.slac.stanford.edu/ will be the primary source for information and announcements related to SLAC IT projects and initiatives. In the projects section, users will learn what SLAC IT is working on, project statuses, and how these projects might impact them. The website also includes an announcements banner to inform users of known outages and provide updates on a resolution. Planned outages, training dates, and more can be found on the site’s What’s Happening calendar.

Why SLAC IT Updated Its Site
This website redesign was precipitated by user feedback provided in focus groups. SLAC users from across the organization voiced the need to consolidate and streamline information access. The new site addresses this need by giving the SLAC community a trusted source and a one-stop-shop for users to find and share information.
