Cloud platforms like AWS and GCP offer a range of online services, spanning servers, storage, computing power, and content delivery. Leveraging Stanford's academic pricing, SLAC IT endeavors to reduce costs and enhance efficiency, drawing insights from successful deployments at Stanford and similar institutions such as PNNL. Moreover, this service will streamline the ordering and provisioning of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) services through AWS or GCP cloud accounts, while also managing accounts and billing processes.
