Change or Reset Your SLAC Passwords

Use the appropriate option below based on the account you need to manage.

SLAC/SSO/Active Directory (Windows)

Reset or reactivate your account

  • Use the SLAC/SSO/Active Directory Account Reactivation page if you've forgotten your password or need to reactivate your account.

Change your password

  • If you're connected to the SLAC network (on-site or through VPN), use the SLAC/SSO/Active Directory Password Change page.

Heimdal/UNIX

Web-based password changes are no longer available for Heimdal/UNIX accounts.

For instructions on changing your password, visit the Heimdal/UNIX Password Change page.


Oracle (SLAC_TCP)

Use the Oracle (SLAC_TCP) Password Change page to update your Oracle password.

Before you begin:

  • You must know your current Oracle password to use this tool.

External Crowd (Confluence and Jira)

Use the External Crowd Password Change page if you have an external Crowd account.

Important: If you sign in to Confluence or Jira with your SLAC Windows or UNIX account, do not use the Crowd password page. Instead, change your password using the appropriate method listed above.

Password Requirements

All passwords must:

  • Be at least 12 characters long.
  • Not contain dictionary words.
  • Not include your name or account name.
  • Not use common or easily guessed character strings.
